National Day of Mourning: sincere condolences from Suva
As a sign of solidarity and mourning, Suva will be flying the flags at half mast today on this National Day of Mourning.

The Federal Council has declared Friday, 9 January a National Day of Mourning. At 2 pm, the church bells will ring across the nation, and then there will be a minute’s silence to remember the victims in Crans-Montana. We are part of this mourning community.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic events in Crans-Montana as well as the victims’ families, relatives and friends. These thoughts also go out to the hospital employees and all emergency services who provided assistance with great commitment and continue to do so.
