What data do we process in surveys?

      Surveys

Surveys conducted in collaboration with external partners on Suva’s behalf are treated as confidential; your data will never be forwarded to third parties.

Surveys carried out in collaboration with the provider Netigate are subject to the following conditions:

Participation in these surveys is voluntary and is based on your appropriate consent.
If you participate in an anonymous survey, no information will be stored that would allow conclusions to be drawn about the participants. Your answers will only be examined and evaluated in a non-anonymous manner if you give your consent. Otherwise, your answers will only be interpreted as part of a group of people or companies, in a way that makes it impossible to attribute them to you as an individual or your company.

If you participate in a non-anonymous survey or consciously choose to waive your anonymity, your e-mail address and answers will be stored in the system. Any personal information you provide while answering the survey is considered to have been provided voluntarily, and it will only be possible to link your details to you as an individual if the survey is non-anonymous or if you consciously waive your anonymity. All invitations to participate in a survey are logged in Suva’s system. However, no logs are kept as to whether you actually participate in the survey, unless you explicitly waive your anonymity.

This information is stored in Germany by the survey provider Netigate AB, Lästmakargatan 20, 111 44 Stockholm, Sweden, and is maintained in accordance with the specifications of the European General Data Protection Regulation. Netigate does not forward personal data to third parties unless this is explicitly specified in the survey’s description or you have expressly consented to such forwarding.

The text answers made in the surveys are also evaluated using the software Caplena. The data is stored in full anonymized form and only evaluated in an aggregated manner. The information is stored by Caplena, Zweierstrasse 165, 8003 Zurich, in the Netherlands, and is maintained in accordance with the specifications of the European General Data Protection Regulation. The data will be completely deleted after 3 years at the latest.

Data protection provisions and conditions of participation for the “Suva customer pool” and “Suva insuree pool

      Data protection provisions

The “Suva customer pool” and “Suva insuree pool” are two separate databases of people who are willing to participate in workshops and answer questions (e.g. in one-to-one interviews or online questionnaires) about specific Suva-related topics. Suva’s aim in maintaining these databases is to design its products and services in line with customers’ needs.

      Suva customer pool

We collect the following data as part of the registration process for the “Suva customer pool”: company, first name, surname, e-mail address, phone number. You then receive an invitation to an online questionnaire, in which we request additional data about your person, your role, your company, your behaviour during leisure time, your media consumption habits or your experiences with Suva. We require this data so that we can invite you to take part in workshops or questionnaires that are relevant to you. To this end, Suva also supplements your data with pre-existing data such as the sector your company operates in. This data is used solely for the purpose of recruiting participants for workshops and surveys. An exception to this rule is the allocation of a Suva persona (customer type) based on answers from the “Relationship to Suva” question block, which is stored in the CRM. The persona is allocated based on 10 questions which are contained in the master questionnaire. This data may be used for the purposes of further analysis in an anonymised form, to help develop the capability to automate the allocation of Suva personas to customers in future. The data about an allocated persona is used to tailor Suva’s services and products even more precisely to the customers’ needs in future by developing them specifically for various personas. These products and services are also advertised on a persona-specific basis by adapting the messages and using the most suitable channels.

The data collected for the “Suva customer pool” is stored in Switzerland in a database belonging to the company Intervista AG. The data can only be accessed by a limited group of employees at Suva and Intervista. Intervista helps Suva to manage and process your data and also sends invitations to participate in studies. There are agreements in place with Intervista to guarantee that your data is handled in a completely confidential manner. Intervista fulfils its tasks on behalf of Suva and only processes your data in line with Suva’s instructions. Under no circumstances may it use the data for its own purposes or forward it to third parties.

Participation in the “Suva customer pool” is logged in the Suva CRM. If you deregister from the Suva customer pool, the log entry will be terminated in the Suva CRM and your personal data will be deleted from Intervista’s database. Intervista deletes such data once per year.

Participation in the “Suva customer pool” is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. Requests to deregister can be sent by e-mail to customer-view@feedback.suva.ch. When you deregister, your contact data and answers will be deleted from the master data questionnaire for the customer pool.

      Suva insuree pool

We collect the following data as part of the registration process for the “Suva insuree pool”: surname, first name, e-mail address, phone number and channel preference. To help us select invitations that are even better suited to you, you can also provide the following data voluntarily (occupational or non-occupational accident, accident with or without at least two days’ worth of lost working hours).

Insuree pool data is stored separately from the data relating to other surveys (such as satisfaction surveys) and cannot be linked with it.

The data collected for the “Suva insuree pool” is stored in Germany, in a database belonging to the company Netigate. The data can only be accessed by a limited group of employees at Suva and Netigate. There are agreements in place with Netigate to guarantee that your data is handled in a completely confidential manner. Netigate fulfils its tasks on behalf of Suva and only processes your data in line with Suva’s instructions. Under no circumstances may it use the data for its own purposes or forward it to third parties.

Your data will be deleted from the database no later than three years after you register.

Participation in the “Suva insuree pool” is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. Requests to deregister can be sent by e-mail to research@suva.ch. Once your deregistration has been processed, your personal data will be deleted from Netigate’s database immediately.

      Conditions of participation

As a participant in the “Suva customer pool” or “Suva insuree pool”, you will be invited to take part in the workshops or answer questions by e-mail or phone. As some questionnaires are aimed at particular groups of people – such as security officers, people working within certain sectors, etc – the participating respondents are selected on a project-by-project basis. This means that not everybody can take part in all workshops or answer questions on all topics, and there is therefore no entitlement to take part in particular workshops or answer certain questions. Needless to say, participation is voluntary and can be terminated at any time via the above e-mail address.

Invitations to take part in workshops or answer questions will be sent by the Swiss companies QualiPro AG and/or Intervista. The data can only be accessed for a select few employees at Suva and QualiPro or Intervista. There are agreements in place with QualiPro/Intervista to guarantee that your data is handled in a completely confidential manner. QualiPro/Intervista fulfils its tasks on behalf of Suva and only processes your data in line with Suva’s instructions. Under no circumstances may it use the data for its own purposes or forward it to third parties.

The enquiry and participation in interviews/surveys is logged in the system. We do not save the answers/evaluations that you provide in the course of surveys in a personally attributable form, only in an anonymised form. We use the anonymised survey data to answer specific questions that arise during projects, with the aim of developing our products and services with our customers’ needs in mind. It is only archived in non-anonymised form with your explicit consent.

Requests for information, rectification and deletion

If you would like to make a request for information, rectification or deletion to us, please contact us in writing (Suva, KKP, Fluhmattstrasse 1, 6002 Lucerne) or send an e-mail to research@suva.ch. To prevent fraudulent requests, we need to identify you (for example, by means of a copy of your ID document if is not possible to identify you otherwise).
