When is a type-examination necessary?
For certain product categories posing a higher safety risk within the scope of Directive 2006/42/EC for machinery, a more stringent verification procedure is required. The type-examination certificate provides this verification.
The type-examination procedure shall be applied to all personal fall protection devices (PPEs).
