Short and succinct
Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that allows users to immerse themselves in and interact with a computer-generated, three-dimensional environment.
People learn best through experiences, which is what makes VR so effective. Instead of explaining abstract hazards in purely theoretical terms, VR lets users experience risky situations realistically and safely. This method of immersive learning increases safety awareness over the long term, as the emotional experiences remain more deeply embedded in the memory. In this way, safe behaviour in everyday work or leisure time becomes more intuitive and accidents can be purposefully avoided.
Swiss Safety VR offers interactive VR experiences that increase safety awareness in different areas and industries. The aim is to promote lasting learning behaviours and prevent accidents through immersive experiences.
Swiss Safety VR offers safety-related VR training in the area of accident prevention. The modules are aimed at a variety of industries, including construction and construction supply, manufacturing, transport and traffic, energy and electricity, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and agricultural machinery. The modules also cover safety-related topics from the private sphere and sports.

The VR simulations are suitable for companies, educational institutions and individuals who want to improve their safety literacy. Those who benefit in particular include early-career professionals, skilled workers and safety officers.
VR enables hands-on, experiential learning without real dangers. Mistakes can be made safely, what is learned remains in the memory for longer and instructions are flexibly scalable.
Advantages over other providers:
- Wireless VR Experience – Maximum freedom of movement without annoying cables
- Hand gesture control – Intuitive operation without restrictions for controller users
- Free access – No expensive licence fees or hidden costs
- Continuously growing module library – New modules for different industries
- Practical content – Developed with technical and safety experts for realistic training
- Suva quality seal – Highest Swiss safety standards
The duration varies depending on the module, but is usually between 10 and 30 minutes to ensure efficient and realistic training.
Regular repetition is recommended to refresh knowledge and consolidate safety-related behaviours. Many companies rely on annual or semi-annual refresher training.
Companies and associations can sponsor individual modules and actively contribute to their design. Suva covers 50% of the development costs so that you can implement a tailor-made safety module for your industry in a cost-effective way.

Swiss Safety VR runs exclusively on the Meta Quest 3 or 3s. An external connection to a PC is not required, as the application runs independently on the VR headset. The accompanying controllers are not needed, as the entire system is controlled intuitively via hand gestures.
Yes, we recommend Meta’s Elite strap headband as it significantly improves ergonomics and provides more comfortable and stable use. This contributes to a better user experience, especially during longer VR sessions.
An Internet connection is required to download or update the apps, as the process is carried out via the Meta Horizon store. However, once downloaded, the apps can be used offline.
For smooth downloading and installation of updates, we recommend a stable Wi-Fi connection of at least 10 Mbps.
The amount of memory required varies depending on the app. According to the Meta Horizon store guidelines, an app can have a maximum size of 4 GB, so at least this amount of free storage space should be available on the Meta Quest 3 or 3s per app.
If you encounter any issues, you can find help in our FAQ section “Troubleshooting” or you can contact us directly. Our team will be happy to help you!
