Type-examination
In the type-examination process, Suva CERTIFICATION as an accredited certification body determines whether the type of a product complies with the requirements of the relevant specifications. This is confirmed with a type-examination certificate.

When is a type-examination necessary?
Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery stipulates a stricter certification procedure for product categories with a higher safety risk. Type-examination is one option for this stricter certification procedure
The type-examination procedure must be used for all personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PPEaF).
