1. Data collection and usage

When using this product/registering on our website or signing up for a course, event, competition or newsletter, or using our online services (hereinafter referred to as “services”), we may evaluate personal user data and set up personalised customer profiles.

By registering or using this product, you agree that we may use your data in order to show you personalised content and send you targeted information that is suitable for your customer profile. We may also assign you to a particular user category based on this data. In this way, we ensure that you receive content that aligns with your interests. Furthermore, in the context of Suva communications, we address you in a way that is suitable for you.

Moreover, we may access data sets about you that are already available to Suva and that are suitable for the intended purpose. This includes, for example, master data, registration data and usage data in accordance with the Privacy Notice. We integrate this data into the designated processing procedure. You consent to the linking and usage of this data by accepting these Terms of Use.

2. User behaviour tracking

By consenting to these Terms of Use, you approve the use of tracking technology to analyse personal reading and usage behaviour. This technology allows us to better understand your preferences, values and interests and to offer you content, recommendations and information that is as relevant and tailored to your needs as possible.

Your privacy and the protection of your personal data is our top priority and we undertake to handle this information confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

3. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent to the use of personal data and the usage of tracking technology at any time by contacting webtracking@suva.ch.

4. Exclusion of liability

Suva is not liable for damages which arise from using the product or from using the information contained in it. Suva does not guarantee that the content provided is accurate, complete or up-to-date and waives any liability for direct or indirect damages which result from the use of the product.

We undertake to take appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee the safety of your personal data and to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, changes or destruction.

6. Transfer to third parties

We do not transfer your personal data to third parties, unless it is required by law or necessary for the fulfilment of a purpose for which you have made your data available to us. We refer to our Privacy Notice at suva.ch/en.

7. Changes to the Terms of Use

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use for the product at any time. We will inform you of any key changes and ask for your consent if there is a legal requirement to do so.
